Together with my neighbours I have cleared contaminated land near my home. This involved first lobbying the council to install metal gates to stop people from fly-tipping. The next stage was to kill an infestation of Japanese Knotweed and clear rubble and waste. Finally landscaping and grassing the area I built picnic benches and a community barbeque.

Oldham Council ran an advertising campaign called "Love Where You Live" as a result of my involvement in this my face appears on the side of bin trucks in Oldham.
